Easy to operate - “Click and Seal”

The worldwide patented Magnetic Grabber^® is the most innovative and reliable vehicle exhaust removal device that provides very quick, easy and controlled connection and disconnection to a vehicle’s exhaust system. This nozzle is used mainly in areas where the vehicle is moving through an enclosed space, like fire stations.

The conical 'click and seal'-design makes attaching the Magnetic Grabber^® to the vehicle extremely user friendly. At the sound of a clear “click” you know you have a correctly “sealed” connection of the system to the vehicle, minimizing the danger of diesel exhaust emissions in the station. The strategically positioned magnets ensure a good connection to the vehicle, as well as a controlled automatic disconnect when the vehicle exits the station.

The Magnetic Grabber^® won the red dot product design award 2011. The red dot design award dates back to 1955 and is the world’s largest and most distinguished design competition.

Identical twins, or not?

The Magnetic Grabber^® is available in two variants, both sharing such striking similarities that they could easily be mistaken for identical twins. Nonetheless, the primary distinction lies in the alloy utilized.

Magnetic Grabber^® TopGrade

The all stainless steel¹ Plymovent Magnetic Grabber^® TopGrade is the most durable Magnetic Grabber^® that is resilient to the most extreme and aggressive winter road treatment chemicals. Due to the very special blend of stainless steel alloy, it will increase the system life and therefore reduce the total cost of ownership. The weight difference of the Magnetic Grabber^® TopGrade compared to the regular Magnetic Grabber^®is negligible.

¹All nuts and bolts are stainless steel, too. But you'll understand the rubber and magnets are made of just that.

Magnetic Grabber^®

The regular Magnetic Grabber^® is made mainly out of galvanised steel. This is the more economic material and performs perfectly in most outdoor conditions.

Tailpipe adapter

To attach the Magnetic Grabber^® nozzle with the extraction hose to the tailpipe, a tailpipe adapter is connected to tailpipe of the fire truck. This adapter is the other half of the 'click and seal' connection.

It also enables the fire truck to attach to any Magnetic Grabber^® system of neighboring stations. If the neighboring station has a pneumatic system, no worries! Just attach the Bayonet Quick Lock.
