Over the past years, The Plymovent Group has been transforming towards a net zero company. Assessed by EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, our sustainability efforts have been awarded with a Bronze medal in the 2021 audit.
One of those sustainability efforts is the reduction of energy consumption in our facilities. A good example is our office in Alkmaar. In 2021 our 1454 solar panels, installed on the roof, provided the whole facility with green electricity. In fact 450.000 kWh have been generated over 2021, which means 100% of our electricity use in Alkmaar has been covered.
Plymovent recently opened a new production facility in Thailand. Since sustainability is one of Plymovent's spearhead policies, it was decided to install solar panels on the roof. Solar energy uses the world's biggest source of free energy: the sun.
